Mat Schramm is an Australian creative producer and filmmaker based in Dubai, working across film, television, advertising and AI-driven production.
He is the founder of Verge Film Productions, a Middle East production company working across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and Dreamachine Studios, an AI film studio exploring where cinematic storytelling goes next.
With 20 years in the Middle East, Mat has produced commercial films, branded content and original entertainment projects across the region, while developing a growing slate of feature films and television projects for international audiences.
His work increasingly sits at the collision point between traditional filmmaking and generative AI, combining directing, writing, production and emerging technology to create work that would once have been too expensive, too complex, or simply impossible to make.
Through Dreamachine, Mat is developing cinematic AI workflows for commercials, original films, proof-of-concepts and large-scale visual storytelling, with a focus on keeping the filmmaking human, even when the tools are not.
Alongside the commercial work, he continues to develop original film and television projects including NEOTOPIA, SUMMONED, UNMANNED and THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
